Molly Brant Update:

What a beautiful first week of November at Molly Brant! The unseasonably lovely weather gave us the opportunity to enjoy some extra time outdoors, and many of our classes took advantage of the sunshine and warmer temperatures. Our classrooms have also been filled with learning, laughter, curiosity, and opportunities to grow. Some of our Kindergarten and primary classes enjoyed a special presentation from the City of Kingston and even had the opportunity to see a snowplow up close right here at school! Our Grade 3 students have also been busy working with Ms. Norman to write their very own Land Acknowledgements, deepening their understanding of the importance of recognizing and honouring the land on which we learn and live.

We will be holding our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. in our gym. Our students and staff will come together to honour and remember the brave individuals who have served and continue to serve our country, and to reflect on the importance of peace, freedom, and remembrance.

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Kingston for their generous $1,200 donation to Molly Brant to support the purchase of Lexia licenses for our students. This generous contribution will directly support literacy learning and provide students with additional opportunities to build their reading skills. We are incredibly grateful for the Rotary Club’s support of our students and our school community. Thank you for investing in our readers!

Head Lice Reminder: As we move through the school year, we want to remind families that head lice can be a common part of school life, and we encourage everyone to assume that head lice may be present in any classroom at any time. If we have confirmed that a student has live head lice, we will notify families in that classroom with a letter, with this communication being sent a maximum of once per school year. Students with head lice are not excluded from school and can continue to attend while families address the situation at home. If you have questions, concerns, or need support with treatment or resources, please reach out to the school—we are happy to help.

Please scroll down to see upcoming events by SAC and to see our monthly calendar.

Should you have questions about your child's learning, please connect with classroom educators.

Thank you for your continued support!

Volunteering at Molly Brant

If you are interested in volunteering at our school this year, please ensure that your Vulnerable Sector Check was completed within 6 months of the date you start volunteering.

A new process in place in Limestone District School Board. Once you have your police record check back, you must submit it to Police Record Check Portal. Once it is submitted you will be able to volunteer at the school.

We know it is time consuming, but safety is our first priority.

School Parking Lot

The school parking lot is CLOSED to families between 8:00 and 8:30 am and 2:15 and 3 pm.

As the weather changes, more families may choose to drive to and from school. Please remember that stopping in school bus loading zones or no-stopping areas can result in high parking fines. We encourage families to respect posted signage and use alternative locations for pick-up and drop-off.
