Santa Clause Parade

If you attended the Santa Clause Parade, you likely saw the Molly Brant float.  This spectacular float was the work of the Parent Council and members of the Spirit Club and Ms. Carey.  Many students and families walked with the float showing their school spirit.  The tremendous effort of the Parent Council and the students was noticed by the judges.  Molly Brant is the proud winner of the category of “Best New Float”. This award is given to a float that has been a wonderful addition to the celebration through its decorative elements and overall holiday spirit.  Everyone who was involved in the float, including those who walked with the float, are invited to join us at the December Spirit Assembly on December 17th at 10:50, when we will celebrate this amazing recognition by the Greater Kingston Community.   Way to go Thunder!!

Co-Ed Volleyball

The Co-Ed Volleyball team, with the support of coaches Mr. Schukei and Mme Shelley, demonstrated great skill and sportsmanship this season. The team participated in a couple of pre-tournament games and they defeated the staff during the student/staff volleyball game last week – this is the first time the students have won in the history of Molly Brant.  On December 2nd, the students will participate in their end-of-season tournament.  Thank you to the coaches and the members of the team for making us so proud! Way to go Thunder!!

School Council:

The December Parent Council meeting will take place on Monday December 2 from 6:00-7:00.  All Council meetings are open to everyone to attend and there are different sub-committees that are always looking for volunteers.

A big thank you to all the organizers and vendors who participated in the Craft Sale on November 22nd.  The event was well attended, and funds raised go directly back to supporting initiatives for students in our school.

School Council meetings take place on the first Monday of the month (that is a school day).  The January meeting will take place on January 6, 2020 at 6:00.

Pancake Brunch, in your PJs:

Once again this year, our dedicated Parent Council will be providing a pancake brunch for all students.  On Friday December 13h, students are invited to wear their PJs to school and enjoy a warm breakfast at school.  If you are available to help make pancakes on December 13th, please contact Jennifer Kehoe or the school.

Jingle Bell Walk: On Friday, December 6 students will be participating in the Jingle Bell Walk.  Weather permitting, as an entire school we will walk around the neighbourhood (some younger students may walk on the kindergarten yard).  Students are asked to bring in a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Food Bank.  Following the Jingle Bell Walk, classes are invited to the gym to participate in a holiday sing-song.

Holiday Sing-Songs: During the month of December, classes will be invited to participate in holiday sing-songs in the gym.  Families are welcome to join us.  Please see the calendar for dates and times.

The last day of classes before the break is Friday, December 20.  Classes start again on Monday, January 6th 2020.

Reporting Lates:
